Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account data: your email address, your name if you give one, a hashed version of your password (never the password itself) and, if you sign in with Google, your Google account id.
• Billing: handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription ids and your plan, not your card number.
• Usage data: how many seconds of live video you watch per day and how many API requests you make, so we can apply plan limits.
• Technical logs: IP address and browser user agent, kept for 30 days for security and troubleshooting.
• An anonymous visitor cookie so that demo limits work without an account.
• Your saved views and walls.

What we don't do

• We don't sell personal data.
• We don't use advertising trackers or third-party analytics.
• We don't run face recognition or licence-plate recognition on any feed.

Cookies

All of these are strictly necessary for the service to work. We don't set any advertising or analytics cookies.

Processors

We share data only with the companies that help us run Worldview, and only what each one needs:

• Stripe for payments and subscriptions.
• Resend for account emails such as verification and password resets.
• Google if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Our hosting provider, which runs our servers and databases.

Retention

• Account data is kept until you delete your account.
• Usage counters are kept for 35 days.
• Technical logs are kept for 30 days.
• Vehicle sightings (attributes only, never identities) are kept for 48 hours.
• Timelapse frames: when someone views a still-image camera, the images Worldview fetches from that camera's public publisher are kept for 60 minutes so viewers can scrub back, then deleted automatically. The operator of a Worldview installation can change this period; the default is 60 minutes.
• Frame analysis: frames you ask us to analyse, with their vehicle counts, are kept for 60 minutes.
• Alert rules, webhooks and watchlists are kept until you delete them or your account.
• Alert delivery logs (email and webhook attempts) are kept for 30 days.

Vehicles, aircraft and vessels

• Vehicle insights detect cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles and bicycles. Background camera monitors can also flag the presence of people, boats and supported animals. Presence matches do not identify people or track them between cameras. Worldview does not recognise faces or read licence plates. Private monitoring evidence expires after 48 hours.
• Aircraft whose owners have asked not to be tracked are never shown, stored, added to watchlists or used in alerts. To ask for an aircraft to be excluded, contact us.
• Sanctions information on vessels is an automated match of the IMO number against the published OFAC list. It is a data match, not a finding about the vessel or its owners.

Your rights

You can see and correct your account details, and delete your account, yourself on your account page. To get a copy of your data, or for any other privacy request, email us and we'll respond promptly.
